On April 22, the Ministry of Education released the updated Undergraduate Program Directory (2025), approving Shanghai Maritime University’s new program “International Cruise Management” (Code: 120905TK). The program plans to enroll 30 students in 2025. It addresses national strategic needs for cruise industry development, leveraging the university’s century-long expertise in shipping and business education under an AACSB-accredited school. The program features a triple-focused training model integrating industry collaboration, digital intelligence, and global perspective. Its curriculum combines management fundamentals, industry-specific modules, and digital skills, emphasizing foreign language proficiency, management competence, and service capabilities. Through deep industry-education integration, it aims to cultivate future leaders with a global vision and digital literacy for China’s cruise industry.
